Pujya Guruji releases Anusaaraka book
Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda released the 'Language Resources Development Guidelines for Anusaaraka' book in Hyderabad, India, on Feb. 10, 2010.
Anusaaraka is a machine translation/language accessing software being jointly developed by CIF, IIT Hyderabad, and Hyderabad Central University's Department of Sanskrit Studies. The software will translate English text into Hindi, applying concepts from Maharishi Panini's Sanskrit grammar (ashtadhyayi) rules. Its three aspects consist of software development (coding/programming), application of Sanskrit grammar to map English and Hindi conversions, and language resource development.
Pujya Guruji congratulated Br. Vineet Chaitanya who pioneered this project and aims to demonstrate the application of traditional Indian knowledge in the contemporary world.
Volunteers who wish to serve on this project, and have a good knowledge of English and Hindi, are welcome.
